History: The Gundam Don Quixote was built to be light and agile, so that Fernando can make quick precision attacks. Its main weapon is a beam sword shaped like the legendary Tizona of El Cid, though it features, much to Fernando's distaste, a spare weapon in the form of a beam fencing foil. Also of importance is the heavy matador cape, which is an early precursor to the beam cloth used by the GF13-045NSP Matador Gundam decades later in the 13th Gundam Fight. It can be used in much the same manner as a matador's cape; to distract and mislead enemies, and perhaps entangle them. Another crucial armament is the optionally-equipped beam lance, a heavy handle that emits a long, thick beam perfect for joust-like thrusting maneuvers, and is used in the El Campeador ultimate attack.

Using the Gundam Don Quixote was controversial, as it deviated from the more militaristic designs of the last two Gundams and instead was designed as a pure Super Robot. Both Fernando and the King of Spain blocked attempts to include more militaristic aspects and features.

Includes the Gran Valor mode, which is meant for devastating linear attacks - most of the power is diverted to weapons and linear movement systems so that beam weapons become more intense and thrusters are more powerful. Adaptability and, hence, flexibility, suffer, however, and using it for too long can wear out the generator as it struggles to keep up with power demands.

Appearance: Like a Spanish conquistador, but of course with a Gundamized appearance and face, and with a V-fin. Colors are the same as those seen in that image.

Explanation of Ultimate Attacks:
El Campeador: Usable only when equipped with the beam lance. The Gundam Don Quixote rushes forward in a burst of speed, with the beam lance's blade expanding and intensifying. Fernando can then either jab it forward, which launches the blade with a powerful ranged beam blast effect, or he can continue with the intensified beam to thrust is at the enemy as though jousting. More effective in the Gran Valor mode.

Siglo de Oro: Usable with la Tizona or, in a pinch, with the fencing foil. The weapons is spun either horizontally or vertically at such high speeds and rates that it becomes like a single circular cutting weapon for a short period. Small heat - or beam - "flames" can sporadically emanate from the edges.
