Appearance: 6'7" with a powerful build and a deep black complexion. Head is shaven completely clean, even the eyebrows. Face is craggy, and it's clear he's lived a rough life of combat.

History: Neo Somalia is a poor nation with a myriad of problems. The officially recognized government is actually a brutally oppressive military junta that, in trying to keep hold of their authoritarian power, represses the common people's efforts at creating a better nation.

The nation has had pathetic showings in both of the previous Gundam Fights, largely because they put little importance into the competition. In all three Gundam Fights, the representative has been Ismail Aidid, a hardened, violent, and sadistic soldier who fought in a number of the pre-FC wars of his youth.

Somehow, though, Ismail has broken his losing streak (in which he would usually be eliminated within the first days of the elimination part of the competition) and has made it to the finals. Seeing an opportunity to seize power over the world, the Neo Somalian government has suddenly thrown full support behind their brutal Gundam fighter. There's no telling what might happen if the Neo Somalian military oligarchy gains power over the world.

Ismail, for his part, is essentially a thug in the service of the Somalian junta with a taste for causing pain. A lifetime of warfare has made him somewhat unstable, and sometimes, when he is most unstable, he believes he is a heavenly agent of judgement. He is built powerfully, and has decades of combat experience to back up his physique, making him a deadly opponent.
